Epitec Employees Volunteer for Boys Hope Girls Hope
Thanks to thirty volunteers from The Epitec Group, the Boys Home in Detroit received an extreme spring cleaning on the first day of May this year. From top to bottom, inside and out, the house received a good tender loving scrub as volunteers cleaned everything from the second story bedroom windows to the basement floor. “The Epitec Group has adopted the boys and their house so we are committed to both,” said President Josie Sheppard. “Our employees take great pride in the important role they play in helping the boys and Boys Hope Girls Hope. We do this with the hope that, together, we will make a positive difference in the boys’ lives,” she concluded.
During the holiday season, Epitec hosted a planned party for the boys complete with personalized gifts for each resident. They have also donated countless hours over the last few years cleaning, renovating and even furnishing the home on Wildemere in Detroit. Along with other renovations completed last year, they installed vinyl siding on the front façade to cover the deteriorating stucco and rebuilt the screening on the back porch. This year, the extreme spring cleaning day was their kick off to smaller initiatives The Epitec Group has planned. They will return to do yard work, paint a room at a time, repair plaster and complete smaller projects all year long.
